Ed Campbell standing next to a 6ft. tall grafted gardenia. Look at all of those blooms!

It all began in 1955...Mr. Edward Campbell, a very much admired and respected retired landscape architect, started raising grafted gardenias for local landscaping clients in Coronado, California. After 40 years of experimenting and developing his own propagation techniques, Mr. Campbell, popularly known as "The Gardenia Man," has successfully mastered the art of grafting, and solving the problem that gardenias have on their own roots. Mass plantings of Ed Campbell's gardenias can be seen throughout Coronado, the Hotel Del Coronado, and even at Sea World in San Diego.

Since then, Mr. Campbell has passed down his long-lived tradition of art and skill of grafting gardenias to his grandson, Brendon East, who is a local horticulturalist and landscape contractor in Ventura, California. Brendon is now happy to bring Grandpa Campbell's Grafted Gardenias back to the central coast where Ed first trained to be a horticulturalist from his Uncle in Santa Barbara, CA.

Please contact Ed Campbell's Grandson, Brendon East for more information and to order plants. He'd love to hear from you!
